Valedictory function of Epitome 2k24

The valedictory function of Epitome 2k24, hosted by PG Depts of MCA, MSc(ST), MSc(BDA) and MSc(DS), School of Information Science and Technology was held on November 22,2024 at 4:15 pm. This most awaited function was presided by Rev. Fr. Melwin Joseph Pinto SJ, Rector of St Aloysius Institutions and Pro Chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) along with Chief Guest Ms. Laxmi Shenoy, HR, Robosoft Technologies, Udupi, Dr. (Fr.) Kiran Coth SJ, Director of AIMIT, Dr. Hemalatha N, Dean, School of Information Science and Technology, Dr Roshan Suvaris and Mrs. Suchetha, Staff co-ordinators, Vikitha, Shivam and Prajwal – Student Co-ordinators.

The programme started off with a soulful prayer rendered by the college choir. This was followed by a video presentation about the happening of Epitome 2k24. The guests were formally welcomed by Dr Roshan Suvaris. Mrs Suchetha Vijay presented the report of Epitome 2k24 to the audience.

In her address, Ms. Laxmi Shenoy mentioned that the students looking of IT jobs must atleast master in one programming language. She also emphasised the fact that aptitude and soft skills also add to a smooth recruitment process and all freshers aspiring to become IT professionals must take this seriously.

Fr Melwin J Pinto SJ in his presidential address congratulated all the participants for being a part of Epitome 2k4 and also mentioned about human values that an individual has to possess. He also compared AI with human values.

The valedictory ceremony also included prize distribution by the dignitaries to all the prize winners in various events. A total of 17 teams participated in various events. The overall championship was bagged by NMAMIT, Nitte and Runners Up by Yenepoya University, Mangalore.

The remarkable ceremony concluded with a Vote of thanks proposed by Dr Hemalatha N followed by the National Anthem sung by the college choir.
