Two large size pythons were spotted and were later rescued at St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University), AIMIT campus here on May 21. The creatures looked graceful on the lawns moist with the early monsoon.

Dhilip Kumar, a member of ‘Snake Party’ and his team reached the campus at the right time and rescued both the snakes at different timings and at different spots in the campus. The ‘Snake Party’ is a voluntary group of members in Mangalore who rescue snakes and also spread awareness about different types of snakes.

Mr Kumar spent around an hour in the campus explaining various interesting facts and information about pythons and other varieties of snakes. He congratulated the students and the college for being sensitive towards nature and creatures like these.

Students interacted with Mr Kumar with thought provoking questions. It was a night to remember.
