The Christmas Celebration 2024, themed “The Gift of Love,” brought together guests, management and staff to commemorate the festive season with joy and togetherness. The event was carefully curated to include a blend of spiritual, cultural, and entertainment segments.

The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Faustine L. Lobo, emphasized that Christmas revolves around the letter ‘C,’ representing elements like cake, carols, crib, and choir, all of which gain true meaning through Christ. He explained the essence of the word “Christmas,” where “Christ” refers to Jesus, and “Missa” signifies mission—Christ’s mission to bring joy to the world and help humanity draw closer to God.

Rev. Fr. Lobo also highlighted that Christ belongs to everyone, without distinctions of insiders or outsiders, and fosters a spirit of unity. He elaborated on the concept of neighbours as those in need, urging the importance of helping others in difficulty. Additionally, he underscored that every religion teaches values like love, brotherhood, and sisterhood, reminding us of our shared humanity. Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, he stated, “The world has enough wealth for everyone’s needs but not for anyone’s greed.”

Dr. Fr. Kiran Coth S J, Director AIMIT shared a reflective message, focusing on the importance of gratitude and kindness as integral parts of the Christmas spirit. He highlighted importance aspects of Christmas, how God became human for our sake and aspect of sharing and to identify God in the difficulties and struggles. He also mentioned the importance of givers rather than being receivers.

The celebration commenced on a prayerful note involving the blessing of the almighty God. Dr. Rajani Suresh extended a warm welcome to all present, emphasizing the importance of unity and joy during the festive season.

A captivating dance performance by staffs marked the official start of the celebrations, embodying the spirit of Christmas. Mr Ravi, delivered an insightful Christmas message, highlighting the values of love, giving, and compassion that define the festival.

Interactive games brought laughter and energy, engaging the audience and fostering a sense of camaraderie. A dramatic enactment of the Christmas story served as the centrepiece of the event, emphasizing the universal message of hope and salvation. A choir performed traditional Christmas carols, filling the venue with melodious tunes and festive cheer. An energetic dance sequence celebrated the joyous essence of Christmas.

Participants of the games and performers were recognized and rewarded, spreading smiles and appreciation. Santa Claus made a delightful entry, distributing goodies and creating a joyful atmosphere. Ms Annapoorna delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success.

The program concluded with a festive lunch at 12:45 PM. Attendees exchanged warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 2025, leaving the event with cherished memories and a renewed sense of community.
