The final MBA students were given a farewell on June 24. Ms Diksha Shetty and Mr Deril D’Sa, II-year MBA students, expressed their emotions and recollected their experiences at AIMIT. They both expressed their gratitude and requested everyone to cherish the good memories and let go of the bitter ones.
Dr Rajanj Suresh, the Dean, expressed hearty congratulations to the students for completing their MBA programme. She also expressed that there is a lot of hope and belief in all young students and she was sure that they’ll do wonders in the competitive world.
In his farewell message, Director Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ called upon the graduating students to always be grateful. “We have so many things to be grateful for. But, sometimes we look at things we do not have and sulk. We must take inspiration from those who are incapacitated physically and yet are self-reliant,” he said.
He gave the imagery of an eagle which rejuvenates itself after a certain age. Similarly, young people must try and acquire new skills and connections to attain success in this competitive world, he said. Director also made a special prayer for the outgoing students.
A symbolic candle lighting followed where students lit a candle each to spread light around. The Director, Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ, and the Director designate Dr (Fr) Kiran Cotha SJ, blessed the students.
Dr Beena Dias, HOD, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was hosted by Dr Annete Maben. staff from the department of MBA were present.
