Ms Shipra Rai, Vice President, People Operations, Niveus Solutions, began her address with an engaging question, ‘What is the meaning of Niveus?’ She said that ‘Niveus’ means ‘snow-white’ in Latin, symbolising purity and innovation—a fitting representation of their company’s values.
Ms Rai provided insightful overview of Niveus Solutions, emphasising their commitment to cutting-edge technology and innovation. She stressed the importance of soft skills in addition to technical skills when preparing for job interviews and career success. Ms Rai encouraged students to develop effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities to stand out in the competitive job market.
Mr Adarsh Prabhu, Associate Director, Niveus Solutions, in his address spoke on the technical skills essential for success in the software technology field. He introduced students to GDG (Google Development Group) and Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) and encouraged them to register for it. GDG provides opportunities to participate in various events, including hackathons, which can enhance technical skills and foster innovation.
Mr Prabhu emphasised the importance of skills related to cloud computing, such as C#, .NET, and Java. He also discussed GENAI (General Artificial Intelligence) and the role of LLM (Large Language Models) in various applications across industries. Further, he guided students on choosing the right platforms for coding and development projects, emphasising the importance of staying updated with the latest tools and technologies.
