The program commenced with a short prayer service conducted by college choir. The inaugural event was compeered by Dr Annette Maben. The Dean, Dr Rajani Suresh warmly welcomed the gathering. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp. The Director Dr (Fr) Kiran Coth SJ, AIMIT, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) addressed the gathering and emphasised on the need to keep learning because Artificial Intelligence (AI) is going the transform the complex world of work. Training and learning are the tools that could be harnesses in order to remain employment ready and employment worthy. Dr (Fr) Kiran Coth maintained that in order to remain competitive, development of critical thinking, leadership and communication skills are a must and encouraged the participants to make full use of the opportunity provided by the managerial skill development programme.
The pre noon session will be handled by Mr. Sandesh J Coutinho. MRPL and Mr Ritu Raj MRPL both extremely skilled in training and development of employees. The post noon sessions titled – “Leading a Value Driven Life” engaged by Rev Fr Roshan Pereira SJ, and “Co-Creating a value-based Organization” Rev Fr Balaraju SJ. aim to add depth and generate value.
Day 2 of the training session will have morning sessions tiled “Enhancing engagement at work” and “From Engagement to Flow- Embracing Agile”, engaged by Dr Rajani Suresh and Dr Anette Maben aim to generate satisfaction, engagement and flow among employees. The post noon sessions titled “Organizational Commitment with emphasis on peer involvement and employee ownership of quality issues” and “Creating a culture of quality and cost consciousness” engaged by Dr. Justine James & Dr Swapna Rose aim to elevate the organisational commitment and work culture in the organisation.
