Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ addressed the gathering where he spoke of the patron saint of the College St Aloysius Gonzaga and urged them to excel in both academics and extra-curricular activities.
The primary objective of the programme was to change the attitude of the students regarding fear of exams. The days’ programme included activities, games and learning sessions that helped build confidence to face the exams. Around 40 students from Bishop Policarpose Public School (BPPPS) Udane attended the programme. The mentees of Dr Rowena Wright initiated and handled sessions on identifying fear and overcoming challenges, decision making and team work and goal setting. Mr Vinay Krishna and Mr Ravi Kudtarkar handled sessions on math and science concepts and theories.
The students were given opportunity to understand the importance of goal setting and decision making. The team was successful in changing the students’ perspectives by making learning a fun experience rather than just a mundane activity.
Dean Dr Rajani Suresh distributed participation certificates to the students and Fr Salin, correspondent of BPPPS distributed cash awards to the top performers.
