The Mangalore University team visited St Aloysius College, AIMIT on Monday, January 11, 2021 to inspect the PG departments of MBA and IT for the purpose of granting the College research centre status.
The team was welcomed by Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ, Director, AIMIT and the staff members of the MBA and IT departments.
The meeting began with a presentation by Dr (Fr) Pinto on the PG departments, their programmes, outstanding publications and research infrastructure of the College.
Soon after the presentation,the team from Mangalore University inspected AIMIT library to view the resources on learning and also discussed about the facilities available on campus for a research centre. “The team was satisfied about our facilities and appreciated our efforts in promoting research,” said Dr (Fr) Pinto, Director.
The Mangalore University team also inspected St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University), prior to visiting AIMIT. The team comprised of Shri. Ravichandra, Syndicate Member; Prof. Manjunatha Pattabi, Dean, Faculty of Science; Prof. Y. Muniraju, Dean, Faculty of Commerce; Prof. Udaya B, Dean, Faculty of Arts; Prof. Kishori Nayak, Professor, Department of English; Prof. D H Manjaiah, Professor, Department of Computer Science.
