Makarios management club inaugurated at MBA department

‘Makarios’ means fortunate or blessed and this is the name under which the management club at AIMIT, Aloysius Institute of Management and IT, St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University) goes, and it is under the aegis of ‘Makarios’ that all student activities for the department of MBA are conducted all through the year. The club was inaugurated for the year 2022-23 on December 14.

Life at MBA is a life of transformation and the management club at AIMIT ‘Makarios’ aims to bring about that change in the student community through various activities, clubs and events conducted through the year. Comfort zones take one nowhere. The MBA department through Makarios ensures that the campus is a stimulation zone, the natural habitat of creative, talented, energetic minds who are groomed to lead and transform the world! Singularly active, student associations and clubs provide a forum for student interaction both among themselves and with the world outside under the banner of the management club Makarios.

Makarios has always laid abundant emphasis on the concept of a business enterprise operating like a living, breathing organism. Carrying the domain further ahead, Makarios now has a new look with its new theme ‘Navigate your next innovation’ to evolve business into a live thriving enterprise in the ‘new normal’.

The programme was presided by Director Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ who also gave the inaugural address where he urged the entire student community to seize the moment and be committed mini leaders in every challenge they face in life. The Director then led the office bearers of Makarios through the oath taking ceremony where all the office bearer’s vowed to attend meetings and abide by the by-laws of the club and to function in every respect as an office bearer of Makarios.
