The Department of Information Technology (IT) at AIMIT commenced its academic year with a warm welcome to the incoming batch of students on August 21. The event was marked by a series of activities aimed at introducing the students to the department, faculty and the facilities offered on the campus. The programme commenced with invoking divine blessings for a successful academic journey.
Dr Hemalatha N, Dean IT, welcomed the gathering and introduced the faculties of the department and also the set of rules and regulations to be followed by the students. She also invited the students to utilize the resources the college offers, especially taking help from the faculty members of the department for their entire academic and personality development needs.
The department’s faculty members conducted an insightful session on the curriculum and placement prospects. This session provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the courses they would be undertaking and the potential career opportunities, followed by an interactive ice breaker.
