In his address, Mr Kini highlighted the points an interviewee or manager will try to assess such as skills, learning ability, communication, ability to work in teams while evaluating applicant, among others. “There is also the need of building one’s network -both online and offline – while modern day social media like LinkedIn and Instagram can be of use in carrying out research as well for gaining insights into the market,” he said.
“Following on what an individual must do is practice, practice, and practice as 99% is handwork and 1% is luck. Learning from one’s mistake and inculcating values will help in self-development,” Mr Kini added.
Mr Kini ended the session with a demo of group discussion and personal interview of short-listed candidates followed by his insights on how students can improve their odds in an interview.
