The orientation by the resource persons commenced with sessions involving a discussion on Jesuit ethos and values.
The second part of the session commenced with an icebreaker activity, where students used a game to introduce themselves. They were then organised into groups, promoting interaction and mutual understanding. Throughout the session, various topics and activities were explored, focusing on teaching students about the development of personality and the importance of effective communication.
Earlier Director of AIMIT, Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ, introduced the St Aloysius Institutions and the contributions of Jesuit institutions over the years. In his speech, he referred to the quote, “Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself,” emphasising the idea that while teachers offer guidance and support, it is ultimately up to individuals to take the initiative and help themselves.
Dr Rajani Suresh, Dean MBA, Dr Hemalatha, Dean IT, were present.
