Guest lecture by Amitabh Anand at MBA department

The Department of MBA, AIMIT organised a guest lecture on August 8. The resource person was Dr Amitabh Anand from Excelia Business School in La Rochelle, France. The lecture was on Digital Globalisation.

Dr Anand began his session with an example of how things have changed in the last few years because of globalisation. The evolution in the job market, product and services has changed over the last two years because of technology, he said.

“Jobs which depend on skillset will prevail as rest will be automated. The changes are getting more dynamic as new products keep coming to the market at rapid pace because of the increasing communication among companies and digital devices,” Dr Anand said. He also spoke about how the next generation will need to develop skills which can withstand changes happening in the digital era.

The session concluded with Q&A and some insights on how to identify research problems.
