One day work shop on “Exploring the dynamics: The art and science of marketing communications” held at AIMIT on 29 October,2024.

“The future of digital marketing in 2025 and beyond seems brighter than ever”-Sachin Andrew Pinto, Marketing Specialist, IKEA India

Sachin Andrew Pinto(Marketing Specialist-IKEA India), alumnus of 2010-2012 batch of MBA visited AIMIT campus on 29 October, 2024 and conducted a one day workshop for both first year and second year MBA students. The theme of the workshop was “Exploring the dynamics: The art and science of marketing communications”. The workshop started at 9am. Throughout the day, Sachin Pinto conducted an extensive analysis of various aspects of marketing communications. He explained in detail, the different types of media outlets used in marketing communications. With the help of latest studies, Sachin elaborated the statistics connected to the usage of different media outlets and established the fact that the traditional modes of media outlets face a decline. This decline is the net result of modern forms of media such as digital marketing. Clear goals and strategy, understanding of the target audience, effective content strategy, sufficient budget and resources and data driven decision making are mentioned as some of the important factors to be focused when a company designs a digital marketing strategy. The guest speaker also focused a lot on the significance of branding. He mentioned the pivotal role played by digital marketing in branding initiatives in the modern era. Sachin was of the opinion that a brand preference is all about the perception of the individual and hence he stressed the need for using digital marketing to create a positive perception about the brand. Towards the end of the session, Sachin Pinto requested all students to focus on maintaining a steady growth in career graph. According to Sachin Pinto, ‘embracing the strengths, identifying the talents, knowing your authentic self are the three mantras required to design career growth. He also inspired students to focus on building a good career by focusing on hard work and excellence. During the session, Sachin Pinto conducted few learning exercises such as strategy game. Venisha Fernandes (II MBA) welcomed the guest speaker. Laveena Nightingale (II MBA) proposed vote of thanks. Shaima Razak (I MBA) also spoke on the occasion. The work shop was conducted as part of the alumni interaction series lectures of the MBA department.
