Inauguration
AIMIT, St. Aloysius College (Deemed to be University), Beeri, inaugurated its 23rd National Level IT Fest, Epitome 2024, on November 21, 2024. The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony graced by Mr. Tom Henrick, Vice President – Development, EDGK, Mangalore, as the Chief Guest, and Rev. Dr. (Fr.) Praveen Martis, Vice Chancellor of St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), as the Guest of Honour. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. (Fr.) Kiran Coth SJ, Director of AIMIT.
The programme began with a prayer by the college choir, followed by a warm welcome from Dr. Hemalatha, Dean of IT Departments. Student coordinators Vikitha, Prajwal, and Shivam were introduced, showcasing the active student involvement.
In his address, Mr. Henrick emphasized the transformative power of technology and innovation.
Dr. (Fr.) Kiran Coth SJ, in his presidential address, highlighted the essence of excellence encapsulated by the term Epitome and stressed the importance of participation and humility. Rev. Dr. (Fr.) Praveen Martis reflected on AIMIT’s legacy and the growing relevance of AI, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Roshan Suvaris, staff coordinator, and a token of appreciation presented to the Chief Guest. The event witnessed participation from over 15 colleges, creating a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere.
