The MBA Department’s AIMIT hosted a guest lecture on “How startups can solve SDG and entrepreneurship in emerging India” on July 11, 2024, at 3 p.m. The lecture was designed to motivate students to entrepreneurial success. Dr Adarsha Gowda, Chairperson of Entrepreneurship and Consultancy Cell, HOD Food Sciences, St. Aloysius (deemed to be University) was the resource person.
Dr Adarsha began with the UNSDG and its purpose, highlighting the need to solve problems the world is facing in terms of the survival of mankind. Extreme weather fluctuations and the effects of global warming need to be controlled, and to do that, we need businesses that solve problems ailing our world. While motivating students, Dr Adarsha expressed that the motive for conducting such a program is because students are at the right age to take risks and be job creators rather than job seekers.
While highlighting the entrepreneurship and consultancy cells’ various initiatives for student entrepreneurs, Dr Adarsha suggested students come up with good business ideas and that the college would support students in bringing them into reality. The session ended with an interactive Q&A session.
