The MBA Department’s AIMIT hosted an Industry academia interaction series on “Cybersecurity awareness” on 07th March 2025 at 3.00 PM. The lecture highlighted various aspects of the cybersecurity and opportunities in cybersecurity. Mr Harsh CTO Techo, Harsh is a first-generation entrepreneur who designs and develops digital and cyber products for companies, governments, and academia. Mr. Harsh was introduced to the gathering by Mr. Justine, our First-year student, in the presence of Dr Rajani Suresh, Dean of the MBA department, and program coordinator Mr Vinay. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Pearl.
Throughout the lecture, Mr Harsh gave insights of and experiences of various people affected by cyber fraud, and a glimpse of how cyber or meta world has evolved. Highlighting on different tools used by criminals and hackers in committing crimes and how to protect themselves from the same, while Mr Harsh stated “safety begins with awareness, followed by how to protect oneself and others, and lastly was to report so that necessary action can be taken”.
Mr. Harsh emphasized certain dos and don’ts of the cyberworld, with the advent of AI leading to a newer way of committing crime having come into the fore, and one needs to verify before taking a decision, the session ended with a Q&A session.
