The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony that set the tone for the day to come. Participants from 14 postgraduate and 19 undergraduate colleges graced the occasion.
The chief guest for the programme was Ananad G Pai, vice-president, Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Director of Bharath Beedi Works Private Limited.
In his address, Mr Pai shared his journey as an entrepreneur and challenges business faces in Mangalore, highlighting the importance of passion and interest while pursuing entrepreneurship which will improve the odds of success when things become tough. He Pai stated that family support and network is the reason for maintaining success.
Finance officer Dr (Fr) Kiran Cotha SJ expressed his views of what students should expect in Management fest while boosting the participants to actively participate in the rounds planned by the students. Fr Cotha also shared the meaning Insignia and its origin in AIMIT while highlighting what it stands for.
Director Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ said that it was important to have such fests to get new insights which should help students to plan their future and thus enable them to think not just of themselves but of the larger society as well.
Adding grace and rhythm to the occasion, a dance performance was showcased by team fusion feet led by Diksha Shetty. The event heads displayed the trophies for Insignia 2024.
The overall runners up was won by AJ Institute Of Management, Kottara and the overall winners for Insignia 2024 were Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodubidire.
Earlier on February 15, a colourful flashmob was organised by the organising committee to inaugurate Insignia – 2024.
