Ayudha puja was celebrated at AIMIT on Saturday, October 16. Director Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ conducted the prayers. He said that just as human resource was necessary for the smooth functioning of an institute, machinery too is needed to support the work. “We pray that God may bless all the vehicles and the machinery so that they may serve us well in all our endeavours here at AIMIT,” he prayed.
Holy water was sprinkled on all vehicles and machinery. Coconuts were broken as a symbol of good omen. Saplings were distributed to the support staff who had helped to develop the gardens. Fr Joel Fernandes SJ, Sr Lizzy Thomas, Dr Rajani Suresh, dean research and publications, Dr Hemalatha N., dean IT were present. Maintenance officer Lancy Pinto coordinated the programme.
