Elton D’Souza, senior analyst at Goldman Sachs, Bangalore visited AIMIT campus on July 16. He interacted with I year MBA students. Elton is an alumnus of 2015-2017 batch of MBA.
Elton narrated various aspects of investment banking. He described in detail the skills and competencies required for an investment banker. He also threw light on the topics related to investment banking such as the contribution of investment banks towards the growth of economy, the influence of events such as politics, war and social media trends on market, offering crypto securities by investment banks and the role of automation in investment banks.
A detailed description on economic social governance (ESG) and the rationale for investment banks moving towards ESG was the concluding element in this interaction. Justine James from MBA department interviewed Elton D’Souza. Clemandra Niyara Gonsalves (I MBA) compered the programme. Elwin Pinto (I MBA) coordinated the guest lecture.
