Fr Sony Xavier SVD, MBA Alumnus (2019-2021 batch) visited AIMIT campus on March 11, 2025 and addressed first year MBA students. Currently, Fr Sony serves as parish priest at Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.Fr Sony spoke to students about PESTLE analysis. A PESTLE analysis studies the key external factors (Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Legal and Environmental) that influence an organisation. The wider context, that the organisation operates in, plays a pivotal role in performance, but without manually researching the market, external factors have the potential to cause harm to the business. Fr Sony explained the use of PESTLE analysis in different sectors. The guest speaker stressed upon its relevance for professionals and managers in strategic decision making. Fr Sony has travelled across the globe in multiple countries and based on his travel experience he narrated the various components of PESTLE analysis taking examples from various countries.Fr Sony also recollected his MBA days in the campus and stressed the need for networking among students during MBA studies. He also inspired students to actively take part in curricular and cocurricular activities. Sarang from I MBA welcomed and thanked the guest speaker and the gathering. Dr Beena Dias, HOD-MBA florally welcomed Fr Sony Xavier SVD. Dr Justine James, the coordinator of Alumni Association presented a memento to Fr Sony.
