Alumni interaction series: Dillon Kenneth Gonsalves in campus

A guest lecture on the role of Information Technology(IT) in reinventing industries was conducted at St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University), AIMIT on June 18 for I year MBA students. Dillon Kenneth Gonsalves, university recruiter, Wipro LTD and an alumnus of 2015-2017 batch was the resource person.

Mr Gonsalves also interacted with II year students on June 11. In his address he described in brief his career journey and experience in the last five years as an HR professional. He inspired the students narrating his career journey and success.

Mr Gonsalves explained the significance of various management concepts such as Design Thinking and Agility. “The role of IT in bringing out innovation in various sectors is beyond our imagination. Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Machine Learning are reshaping the industries. Good number of Disruptive Innovations are ensuring best service to customers even with the help of real time data,” he said.

He highlighted the magical power of IBM Watson which is used even in textile design for Bollywood. He also narrated the extent to which companies and industries make use of IBM Watson to achieve accuracy and precision in product design, manufacture and customer service. The lecture was concluded with a question-and-answer session. Delrina Carmel Pinto of I MBA compered the programme.
