Mr Justine James from the department of MBA recalled a few memories with Mrs.Philomena. In his address he said, “MrsPhilomena was very simple, kind and very honest with her work. She was like a mother to the students.”
MrLancy Pinto,maintenance officer in his felicitation message said: “Retirement is a chapter of life. When one chapter ends anew one begins.MrsPhilomena followed the notion that work is worship. And we wish her on behalf of our gathering that may her life be filled with good health and happiness.”
Director Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ said that he saw Mrs Philomena always smiling. The support staff is as important to us as other staff and the example is set by Mrs. Philomena. I thank her for her dedication in serving our institution.You are retiring only from your service, but there are many more milestones ahead of you,” he said.
Mrs Philomina in her farewell address recalled her memories in the institution during her service from the day she joined till date. She thanked everyone who helped her during her service in this institution. She also said, “The time spent in this institution is very precious. I may leave this institution and go, but the time I spent, the people I met and the moments I cherished will remain in my heart forever. And I thank each and everyone for giving me an opportunity to serve you all.”
In his address Rector Fr Melwin Pinto SJ said, “Our campus is clean because we have a wonderful team of support staff. I congratulate each and everyone today, especially Mrs Philomena. Your service is selfless.”
Earlier, Mrs Philomena was felicitated by the dignitaries. Mr Aravinda Prabhu welcomed the gathering and Dr Swapna Rose proposed the vote of thanks. Ms Harinakshi compered the programme. Mr John Correa, Mr Praveen D’Souza and team sang a felicitation song.
